Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team is responsible for overseeing client's Cloud Infrastructure and building/managing/supporting “Cloud Native Application Platform” and “Data Platform” which is built on Google Cloud Platform. 

Cloud Native Applications Platform’s goal is to offer the simplest and fastest path for developers to build, deploy, monitor, and scale resilient Cloud Native Applications by incorporating DevSecOps principles and self-servicing capabilities. Data Platform on the other hand, also using the same foundations and principles, is for onboarding data pipelines and producing Data Products for Data Analytics and Data Science purposes.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Deep understanding of Cloud computing concepts and solutions including public, private, hybrid cloud.
  • A good understanding of Cloud Security, specifically IAM Roles & Policies, Security Groups and Encryption keys.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting at least one of the predominant public clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding, and hands-on experience with container technologies, like Docker runtime and Kubernetes orchestration. Advanced knowledge and understanding CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Ability to write clean code in at least one language (i.e Python, Golang, Bash etc.)
  • Experience working with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Cloud Deployment Manager.
  • Advanced experience in building systems in a microservice environment. Understanding the building blocks of a resilient and scalable software

Requirements:

  • At least 5 or more years of experience working in the cloud engineering field
  • Deep understanding of Cloud computing concepts and solutions including public, private, hybrid cloud.
  • A good understanding of Cloud Security, specifically IAM Roles & Policies, Security Groups and Encryption keys.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting at least one of the predominant public clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding, and hands-on experience with container technologies, like Docker runtime and Kubernetes orchestration.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

  • Upper-intermediate level of English
 

Nice to have:

  • Good knowledge of popular data standards and formats (e.g, JSON, XML, Proto, Parquet, Avro, ORC, etc)

  • Data modelling skills

  • GCP Data Engineering Certification preferred
